I just can't take it any longer. I finally shut my TV off at 8pm last night. It's staying off through the weekend, maybe longer. I am on media overload. First it was the Olympics, then the Democratic National Convention, and finally topped off with the frenzy of the Republican National Convention.

All the media coverage of the events the past month has had all eyes on Michael Phelps, Barack Obama, and Sarah Paline. God created us with the potential to accomplish great things and to make an impact on the world around us. Hope, however, is not found in any of them. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in all the hype and lose focus. So, take a breather. Turn it all off and refocus for a while. Let me know how it goes.
