I wrote this a few months ago in my journal. The funny thing is that I don’t' remember writing it.I have a good memory, but occasionally I forget things. Life gets busy and my days get crazy with all the stuff to do. I keep lists to try and help me stay organized and keep things flowing, but I still somehow end up forgetting things. I'll forget to call somebody on his or her birthday, put a letter in the mail, respond to an e-mail, pay a bill, or feed the cat. I forget. It is human to forget, so I forgive myself and hope others will too.
God does not forget. Sometimes I forget that! It's hard to comprehend a Being who does not forget. Earthly parents can forget, but not the heavenly Father. There is comfort in that. He can choose to no longer remember the sins of my youth, but he chooses to never forget me. I may feel forgotten, but it is only a feeling.
He may have a different plan, but that does not mean that I am forgotten.
He may have a different time, but that does not mean that I am forgotten.
He may say no to my desires, but it does not mean that I am forgotten.
My brokenness does not mean that I am forgotten.
My unmet dreams do not mean that I am forgotten.
My questioning heart does not mean that I am forgotten.
My discouragement does not mean that I am forgotten.
You are not forgotten.
He'll move in His time
Though you may not feel it
On this you can rely
You are not forgotten.
He'll move in His time
Though you may not feel it
On this you can rely
You are not forgotten.
